Our Barossa Valley wine tour takes you to the ‘parishes’ inside this world famous South Australian wine region. We visit wine growing sub-regions within the Valley and see how their geology impacts the flavours in the region’s Shiraz wines.

Join us in exploring this region of rolling hills, scattered with its charming hamlets and villages. The Barossa Valley is recognised as the centre of big and bold Shiraz in Australia.

Our Barossa Valley wine tour leaves from Adelaide at pre-arranged locations. Typically we will pick you up from your accommodation and drop you back after your day exploring the Barossa.

Kalleske Wines

Based in the Barossa Valley township of Grenock, the Kalleske family have been farming and growing grapes since 1853. Their first wine release was in 2004

120 acres of vines, including Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Chenin Blanc, Mataro, Petit Verdot, Durif, Viognier, Tempranillo and Zinfandel.

The vineyard is low yielding with grapes grown organically and biodynamically The winery is also certified biodynamic/organic.

Tscharke Wines

Producers of crafted boutique wines, Damien & Eva Tscharke have created the unique Tscharkes Place in Marananga on the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. The Tscharke families involvement with Barossa Valley wine extends back over 150 years. The Tscharkes Place Cellar Door is a unique experience itself – a reconstructed traditional German style villa complete with an amazing cellar dining room and a pottery in the loft. Well worth a visit.

Landmeil Barossa wines are proud to be custodians of reportedly the world’s oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard – the Freedom 1834. Still operating as a family business, the Lindners operate this historic winery in Tanunda.

Peter Lehmann Wines

Peter Lehmann was a member of the Order of Australia and one the original Barons of the Barossa. A true legend of Australian wine, Peter helped shape the wine industry over seven decades. The Peter Lehmann Cellar Door in Tanunda is based in a stone winery building dating back to the 1880’s and well worth a visit. Read more here

Murray Street Wines

Murray Street wines are unsurprisingly situation on Murray St in the Barossa Valley district of Greenock, on its western ridge. Visitors will be pleasantly surprised by the homely, service oriented approach to wine tasting provided by the Murray St staff. The tasting rooms have a stunning view across the Greenock Estate to the western Barossa.

Rockfords

Nestled in the Barossa Valley village of Krondrof, the original buildings dated from the 1850’s. Now a modern winery and cellar door complex, Rockford’s offers a range of premium Barossa wines to enthusiasts.

The Cellar door staff at Rockford Wines leave a lasting impression of their extensive wine knowledge.

Turkey Flat Wines

The cellar door is based in an old bluestone building sitting at the edge of Tanunda in the middle of the Barossa Valley. It is surrounded by historic vineyards, dating back to 1847.
